Hellboy

This a 3D-printed replica of the iconic Excalibur from the Hellboy comics. The design was based on photographic references from the source material and expertly modeled in Blender and Fusion 360. To ensure strength and rigidity, the sword was printed with the appropriate pieces in the correct orientations, and a steel bar was added to the center of the sword. The final product was then carefully painted, weathered and given an antique metallic finish to replicate the look and feel of the original comic book weapon. This project demonstrates an ability to accurately recreate a recognizable object through the use of both digital and physical fabrication techniques, as well as a keen attention to detail in both design and finishing, and an understanding of the engineering principles needed to make the final product sturdy and durable.
