Mandalorian

This portfolio piece is a custom-designed and fabricated Mandalorian cosplay suit, primarily inspired by the armor worn by Bo Katan from the popular TV series The Mandalorian. Using Blender and Fusion 360, the cosplay was expertly modeled and designed to incorporate unique custom elements while still staying true to the original aesthetic. A special focus was put on the blaster pistols, which were not just 3D printed but also had moving parts, and I was able to learn a lot about printing moving parts and accounting for expansion and contraction. Making pieces slide together seamlessly was crucial in making the blaster pistols, specifically the trigger, work in order to have functional lights. The final product was created using a combination of both digital and traditional fabrication techniques, and it demonstrates a strong understanding of both digital design principles and practical cosplay-making skills, including engineering of moving parts, printing and materials. This cosplay suit is a perfect representation of the strong attention to detail, creativity, and craftsmanship that goes into creating a successful cosplay.
