This portfolio piece presents a custom-designed and fabricated Master Sword from the popular video game series, The Legend of Zelda. The design was created using Fusion 360, and the sword was constructed by integrating an old wooden toy sword as the blade and custom 3D printed hilt parts. The process of creating this piece involved utilizing Fusion 360 to design the hilt to fit the existing wooden sword blade and make it sturdy. This project demonstrates an ability to creatively repurpose existing materials and combine them with digital fabrication techniques to create a unique and recognizable object. The attention to detail and understanding of the design principles necessary to make a functional replica weapon is highlighted in the final product. This project showcases the strong skills in 3D modeling, problem solving, and engineering principles, in order to make a sturdy replica of the Master Sword. The wooden blade is seamlessly integrated with 3D printed hilt to make a complete weapon that is screen accurate and visually pleasing.
